I recently had the worst experience at San Diego Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and I feel compelled to share my frustration. I visited the dealership on March 26, 2025, to look at a Jeep Wrangler. Today, as I went to upgrade my Jeep to a Rubicon at a different dealer, I was shown my deal from SDCDJR which was applauding. We have at leased three vehicles from this dealership. The experience has been professional and comfortable. Everyone has been excellent from the sales person shout out to Sebastian M. to every one of the managers. They treat you with respect and they answer any questions that you have. The whole process has been positive. From the beginning of a lease to returning the lease. They are head and shoulders above the other dealers in San Diego.
Had my Jeep Cherokee in for lift gate recall a few months ago and now it doesn’t work at all. I have made 8 calls and left 8 messages over the past three weeks and still no contact from the service department.
If I could give negative 10 stars I would but I can't. Brought my 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave on September 12, 2024 for oil change, tire rotation, and wheel alignment. My experience at the dealership itself was great. Quick service and they did solve my cars problem. However, it took 6 months to get my part which they did not clearly express to me in the beginning or throughout those 6 months. I called nearly every week with no response. I really just wanted a gauge of how long it would be until I got the part. I was initially told it could take days or a month or two. I did not expect 6 months and was not kept in the loop at all.
Diagnosed my vehicle as needing a new Selectrac switch. Quoted 500 for the switch and 800 for the labor. Inspected the switch myself and it was unplugged. Switch worked fine when plugged back in. Mechanic obviously did not inspect the switch when performing the diagnostic. I requested my diagnostic fee back and haven’t heard from them since. I called repeatedly and they don’t answer.
The dealership was wonderful, specifically, Gigi. She took meticulous notes of symptoms I described and assured me tha the best tech (Mike) would be able to suceessfully diagnose the problem(s). Communications was excellent, and she explaned what my Max care extended warranty covered. I came here because another local dealership had such a huge backlog. Glad I came here. I will return, if I need future service. Thank you!
SD CDJR was able to get my grand Cherokee in other shops weeks before other certified dealers. In addition they worked on my jeep quickly, fixing every issue while still giving me weekly updates. They even fixed a steering issues another dealer said didn’t exist. I will be bringing my jeep to SD CDJR moving forward.

My 2023 jeep grand Cherokee was crash wile it was at the dealer it took about 2 weeks for it to be fix we had a rental they pay for it but we where not comfortable we need it our car and because of that we didn’t even got an apology form no one we have meet with one of the managers but we didn’t got nothing from him everything was just sweep under the rug that way we are not satisfied with this dealer
I dropped off my 2015 Jeep Patriot on October 5, 2023 due to a small ticking noise. I have been a customer here since I purchased my vehicle brand new off the lot April 12, 2015. I took my car here for every maintenance issue, every problem. EVERY TIME. The first few years were great. My service tech was Liz and she was fantastic. Kathleen was very communicative and helpful. Even though my car was in for a total of 2 days, I had peace of mind knowing the problems I brought it in for would be addressed and fixed. I generally have bad experiences with dealerships but Kathleen was very helpful and honest.

I chose this dealership because past experiences with Poway Jeep were unsatisfactory. Appointment times were queued a week out, but once the car got into the service bay it was wrapped by noon. The waiting room had excellent coffee and comfortable chairs that made the stay a pleasure.
I took my pick up in due to a broken cab heater and to replace a cabin air filter. After a week in the shop with zero communication until the day before my intended departure and $3500 worth of servicing, I drove home for two days with a still non-functioning heater.
My service advisor, Gabriel Ceballos, is awesome; very knowledgeable, great customer service, went above and beyond during this most recent visit. The service done today was done quickly and correctly, and it only took about an hour.
Took my Jeep to get an emergency looked at a possible smoking issue from the coolant system. They kept it for 4 days, the service advisor got fired, and their technician said they found nothing wrong with it. I didn't get a phone call my vehicle was ready so I drove up there to grab it. I was charged $300 for a clean diagnostic. I took my Jeep to another mechanic and found out I had a cracked heater core that could have been fixed in a few hours. There were able to handle the scheduled oil change. There was a radio recall/update that they were going to but ended up saying they were understaffed to handle unless I waited another 2 hours. I will schedule to fix the update/recall at the next oil change. Very nice and courteous staff
I had a few issues with my ram 3500, diesel. They booked me an appointment, and so at $400.00, I towed it there. A few days later, the service advisor told me that they wouldn’t have a diesel mechanic for 3 to 4 months. THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT prior to booking the appointment. Horrible costumer service! Don’t go there, they wanted 18,000 for a transmition, we went somewhere else and it costs us 3,000. They also never answer the phone.

I took my 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in roughly 3 weeks ago to address 2 recalls I needed to take care of and a check engine light with Evap System Leak codes. GiGi was great as my service mgr in getting me in there and later explaining what needed to be repaired. Since picking up my Jeep all has been well (fingers crossed) to date. The drop-off and pick-up both went smoothly. Would recommend their service dept for sure.

This is one of the shadiest dealerships I have ever delt with. I went in for service and decided to up grade my 2018 Wrangler that I purchased at the same dealership to the new 2024 4xe. Jeep did not know how to fix my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The exact wording was we refuse to work on the car "please take to an electrician shop, they might know better on this issue". I still got charged $1,100 for fixes, Jeep cooperation could not advise on the fixes either.

I was sold a Raptor with a clear Carfax, but found out it was involved in an accident after trying to trade it in. I was told that dealerships cross verify information with multiple car reporting companies to verify the vehicle's information. I would like resolution regarding this issue.
The staff is alway courteous and helpful. Scheduling handled well. The time for oil change and maintenance check was almost 2 hours.

Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and refused to communicate about my car repairs. In addition the manager mocked the fact that we are a military family who was going to miss a Thanksgiving gathering because we had no vehicle for my family. I went for my free service and I ended up paying 160 dollars for oil change and tire rotation; I showed the guy two papers they made me buy when I got my Jeep and none of those were for the free service. That’s very bad

Management claims car is “normal” after $4500 (misdiagnosed) repair did nothing to fix issue, now our calls are being ignored.

The finance department continues to make promises about paying off the trade-in; however, 22 days later, It still hasn't bee paid off. We're getting calls from lender. We still don't have a bill from the new car we leased. Awful customer service. Everyone keeps passing the buck.

The vehicle I came to look at was as advertised. Jay was attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. He was very straightforward and made the entire buying experience very easy. My July 26, 2023, servicing was excellent. I rate 3-stars to average out the worst customer-care treatment I experienced from my February 14, 2023 service. It was so bad I wrote a letter on March 16 detailing my experience to the General Manager. Receiving no reply I then wrote to the service manager on April 18. No response.

For those seeking a quick recap, their service department attempted to use epoxy resin to repair a cracked (leaking) radiator. They billed my extended warranty company for a replacement ($1200+). Three different service appts all within a year and not one thing has changed. Poor customer service, Poor communication (no callbacks at all!) and poor management!! Unfortunately, this is the only dealership that could handle my warranty for a Gorilla glass windshield replacement. I've been there three times now and it still has not been replaced. Chose San Diego Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to repair my vehicle. The interactions I had with Service Advisor Luis Perez has always been respectful and professional. Had the radiator, a/c condenser, power steering pump, and rack & pinion replaced under MaxCare warranty. I would leave zero stars if I had the ability. About a month ago I was notified about a required recall that could only be addressed through one dealership in San Diego. Since the recall had to do with the car's emissions and we needed to get the car smogged in order to get it registered we called to make the appointment as soon as possible. I liked my service guy but he was out the day they called me to pick up my car. They charged me $210 for diagnostics on my radio (it skips from channel to channel) but did not detail the results - much less fix the problem. I also asked to have it detailed and that didn’t happen, either.
Car towed in on 1/10/23. No phone calls returned, nobody answers phones. I left an angry message on 1/13, they finally called back saying they found the problem, but couldn't find the part. Went in for oil change, tire rotation, wiper fluid, warranty work and smog check. After 3 days, the only work completed was the warranty issues. I could not reach the service department directly for 2 days and had to wait for return calls. This is not my first bad experience with this dealer.
I urge you to not purchase your vehicle here! I purchased my car 10/4/22 and was issued temporary license plates which is now expired as of 1/2/23. I have been to DMV twice and they have explained to me that the dealership has paid the registration but has not submitted any paperwork leaving my status in pending.
